Job Title: Operations Administrator

Locations: Austin, Boston, Calgary, Chicago, Denver, Florida, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Seattle or Toronto

Status: Seasonal (Part-Time)

Hire Date: May, 2018

Reporting To: Event Manager

We are seeking a type-A, on-site Operations Administrator to oversee operations, logistics and setup for a selection of our camp weekends in your city. We want to find the best representatives in these cities, to help welcome our campers and share knowledge and flair on the local area.

The organizational flow of the weekend starts with you - you will be overseeing that the beverages are on ice when the campers arrive, the t-shirts are organized and ready to hand out and the arts and crafts tie dye inventory has been double checked. You will be asked to do a range of projects from setting up check-in, to organizing our merchandise table, but most importantly helping create a safe and fun environment for our campers to have the time of their lives!

Camp No Counselors headquarters will market, promote, organize and produce each camp weekend and arm you and your ‘On-Site’ team with the tools to execute a fun, safe, and successful camp. Your On-Site team will consist of an Event  Manager overseeing the entire event as well as a Director, Associate Directors, one or two Operations Administrators, Volunteers and the host camp's staff. Your responsibilities will begin at the beginning of each camp weekend and end at the end of your camp. There will be minimal commitment outside of your camp weekends.

  • You must work a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 camps in 2018.
  • Since the majority of our camps run Thursday to Sunday, you must be available certain Thursdays and Fridays during our camp seasons (May – June and August – October). We staff our camps at least 30 days in advance.

  • Managing and organizing operations, setup and logistics at your camp weekends - You are the “go-to” person for the organizational team and host-camp staff with all the answers
  • Manage and set up check-in, transportation (select cities), activity sign ups, merchandise sales, talent show, color war, signage, and flow of schedule (set up and prep of events)
  • Managing and organizing deliveries upon arrival to camp, and shipments from camp while tracking inventory
  • Working with vendors/partners to ensure in-kind donations are featured properly
  • Liaise with onsite Medical/Emergency staff daily
  • Balance being a gracious host at camp while in the background organizing the activities, parties, and events
  • Wake up first in the mornings – these are going to be long days…
  • Work with special groups (large parties) to ensure their needs are covered
  • Have a huge smile at all times and be accessible as part of the organizing team, and as a fellow camper
  • Think quickly on your feet and have contingency plans and alternatives, as no two weekends are alike
  • Remain calm, composed, upbeat and happy during stressful times
  • May be asked to cover ad hoc requests made by your CNC Event Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Loves camp! Either you’ve wanted to go back ever since you were told you’re “too old for camp,” or you never got to go, but you know you’d love it and are dying to see what you were missing out on as a kid

  • Has extensive experience (minimum 1 year) in event logistics and management
